Muscle tyrosine-kinase ab / MuSK ab
General information:
Anti-muscle-specific tyrosine kinase (Anti-MUSK) is used in the diagnosis of anti-acetylcholine receptor negative myasthenia gravis. Myasthenia gravis is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by muscle weakness and easy fatigue after physical activity, a consequence of impaired neuromuscular transmission in the transverse striated muscles. The reason for this disorder is due to a reduced number of nicotinic receptors in the postsynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular synapse, a consequence of the antibodies formed against them.
