SMDL Laborexpress 2000 offers a modern and maximally deployed panel test for antibodies against liver antigens. The focus of this diagnostic test is the detection of changes in autoimmune hepatitis ( AIH) and primary biliary cirrhosis ( PBC)

Anti-Mitochondria M2 Ab (anti Mitochondrial AT), Intramitochondrial protein: a highly sensitive anti mitochondrial antibody (AMA) binding protein, a marker for PBC, is not formed in only 5-10% of these patients. Overlapping syndrome is possible in patients with AIH. It may be positive in ANA positive patients ( progressive SS, SjS, SLE)
Anti-M2-3E (BPO) Ab- Fusion protein ( BCOADC E2+PDC E2+ OGDC E2)M2 subunits
Anti-Sp100 Ab: Speckled protein 100 kDa, associated with multiple nuclear changes, highly specific for PBC , possibly associated with disease progression and risk of fibrosis, frequency of positive result in 30-50% of AMA negative patients
anti-PML Ab: Promyelocytic Leukemia Protein, incidence of 12-19% of PBC patients, associated with PBC in AMA negative patients ( predominantly detected with other markers such as Sp100
anti-gp210 Ab: Glycoprotein 210: associated with the nuclear membrane, highly specific for PBC, especially specific in AMA negative (anti-mitochondrial antibodies) in 30-50% of cases
anti-LKM-1 Ab: Liver Kidney microsomal type 1, associated with AIH 2 and HCV; in AIH 2

anti-LKM-1 Ab: Liver Kidney microsomal type 1, associated with AIH 2 and HCV; in AIH 2 in low titers it is especially indicative in pediatric patients
anti-LC-1 Ab: Liver cytosol-1, highly specific in patients with AIH 2 (30% of patients and is the most indicative diagnostic criteria), high values in active disease
anti-SLA/LP Ab: Soluble liver antigen/liver pancreas antigen, associated with AIH 3 or AIH 1 ( in 25% of chronic AIH patients). Differences exist in patients of different ethnic backgrounds.
ASGPR: Asyaloglycoptotein receptor, an important prognostic marker for PBC , may be found in patients with other liver diseases and viral etiology, antibody levels correlate with disease severity, may disappear with immunosuppressive therapy
Nup62: Nucleoporin 62, high specificity for PBC, often together with anti-gp210 Ab, associated with later stage disease and poor prognosis
OGDC-E2- 2- oxo- glutarate dehydrogenase complex
PDC-E2- Pyruvate dehydrogenase complex TRIM21
anti-Ro52 Ab: auxiliary marker in PBC (28% of patients), also associated in patients with autoimmune hepatitis (38% of patients), diagnostic marker for SLE, SSc, specific autoimmune myositis
cyents), a diagnostic marker for SLE, SSc, specific autoimmune myositis
The presence of a positive result to any of these antigens supports the diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis. Interpretation is made by the treating physician along with clinical manifestations, biopsy, imaging studies.Values may vary depending on treatment, chronic course of disease and individual patient characteristics.
