General information:

Immunoglobulins play a key role in the body's immune system. They are proteins produced by specific immune cells called plasma cells in response to bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms, as well as exposure to other substances that are recognized by the body as "non-self" harmful antigens. This test measures the amount of immunoglobulins A, G and M (IgA, IgG, IgM) in the blood.
The test is suitable:
  • when you have recurrent infections and/or chronic diarrhea;
  • when your doctor suspects a deficiency of immunoglobulin or an excess of a certain immunoglobulin;
  • periodically monitor a condition that affects immunoglobulin levels, which can be genetic (selective IgA deficiency) or acquired (HIV / AIDS, multiple myeloma);
Venous blood
