General information:

Cryoglobulins are circulating proteins, specifically immunoglobulins (ie, IgG, IgM, IgA, or light chains) that clump together (precipitate) when exposed to cold and dissolve when warmed. They can be present in small amounts in the blood of some healthy people, but are most often associated with abnormal protein production and various diseases and conditions.
