General Information:

Autoimmune thyroid diseases are widespread and the diagnosis of specific antibodies is a great help for the specialist in diagnostics.

TSH receptor antibodies are antibodies (TSAb-thyroid-stimulating-antibodies) that bind to TX receptors. They cause thyroid enlargement and increased thyroid hormone synthesis.

 These are found in 90% of Graves' disease cases, but only 10% of Hashimoto's cases.
