.Deficiency of this factor leads to the disease Rosenthal Syndrome or so-called Hemophilia C. It occurs at a frequency of 1 per 100,000 higher in closed ethnicity. It is autosomally recessively inherited from both parents, but autosomal dominant (from one parent).
Symptoms are not always associated with bleeding. The first signs of the disease are after more serious interventions or tooth extraction (molar, wisdom). Women may experience more pervasive menstruation, but not severe hemorrhages. Other signs of bleeding (joint, muscle, intra-organ) are rare.
In addition to looking for this deficit, PT, aPTT, platelets, bleeding time, coagulation time are added to the diagnosis.
