Fructosamine

General Information:

A Fructosamine test provides a measurement of a person's average glucose (blood sugar) levels for the past 1-3 weeks. Fructosamine is a compound formed from the combination of glucose and protein. In some circumstances, this test can be more useful that a Hemoglobin A1C test which measures average glucose levels for the past 2-3 months.
