Cholinesterase
General information:
Progressive reduction (following months and years) following viral hepatitis has been shown to lead to liver cirrhosis, especially if it is preceded by hepatocyte leakage (increased transaminase episodes).
Phosphorus organic compounds (contained in some agricultural preparations) are a potent inhibitor of serum cholinesterase, whose activity may become undetectable. In case of suspected poisoning, the determination of cholinesterase is a good diagnostic and prognostic indicator and supports the monitoring of the treatment.
Genetic variant of serum cholinesterase. (at a rate of about 0.05%) is unable to disintegrate the de-polarizing muscle relaxants used in anesthesia.

Venous blood in the morning in fasting
