General Information:

Albumin is a protein produced by the liver and makes up about 60% of total protein in the blood. Low albumin levels can indicate liver disease including Cirrhosis as well as conditions such as infection, inflammation, kidney disease, diabetes, cancer, malnutrition, hypothyroidism and recent surgery.
