ALEX2 Allergy Explorer is a second-generation in vitro multiplex allergy test, allowing the quantification of specific IgE (sIGE) against a large number of allergens - both extracts and
allergenic molecules (individual components of allergenic extracts).

The extended test panel includes 295 allergens from the following types: pollens, microorganisms and spores, mites, animal allergens, insect venoms, food (nuts and seeds, milk and eggs, fruits, legumes, fish and seafood, spices, meat, vegetables and mushrooms), latex, etc.

The advantages of the ALEX2 test are:

6. Molecular information on cross-reactivity - a high level of tIgE does not provide insight into specific sensitization. Specific antibodies produced against different allergens indicate that the individual has been in contact with a particular allergen, with values above 0.3 kU/L considered positive for that allergen. However, a positive result does not always correlate with the clinical presentation. It is desirable that the ALEX2 test be appointed before or after consultation with an allergist and an IgE total test. This immunoglobulin is a guide whether an allergic reaction is taking place in a person's body, in order to proceed to the tests to determine the exact types of allergies.
