Specific IgG results are expressed in relative U/ml or classes 1 to 6 for each food product tested. The higher the value or grade, the more antibodies are detected and the more clinical manifestations are expected. Some of these symptoms are: diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, frequent headaches, depression, poor concentration, arthritis and muscle weakness, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, eczema.
With a positive serological result for antibodies, the doctor or nutritionist recommends a change in the dietary regime such as elimination of the given food or a rotational diet. These measures lead to "calm down" of the immune system, inflammation of the mucosa. Additionally, by eliminating positive foods, weight problems can also be favorably affected.
Interpretation:
- Negative, positive class 1 and class 2 foods usually do not cause clinical problems
- An unnumbered list of class 3 and 4 positive foods should reduce their intake to 1 time every 4 days for a period of 4 to 6 months. Exceptions are the foods milk, eggs, wheat, and peanuts, which must be eliminated even with a class 3 positive result.
- Unnumbered list Foods for which a class 5 and 6 positive result is found must be eliminated for a longer period - up to 1 year depending on the food and the symptoms. This withdrawal period allows the immune system to recover.
- It should be borne in mind that not all positive reactions have clinical significance. As with any laboratory result, interpretation should always be made in the context of the patient's history and diagnosis.
*Important:
This is NOT an allergy of the widespread "quick, first" type, with the participation of IgE antibodies!
Sample required:
