General information:

Aspergillus is a group of widespread mold fungi that can be found and isolated everywhere, especially in autumn and winter in homes. A range of diseases caused by Aspergillus range from allergies to life-threatening general infections and are collectively referred to as "aspergilloses". The symptoms are similar to those of asthma: cyclical episodes of nausea, cough and wheezing.

Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) is a term used to describe an allergic reaction of the body to fungi of the Aspergillus class, especially Aspergillus fumigatus or Aspergillus niger. AVRA is seen in individuals who suffer from another lung disease, most commonly bronchial asthma. The disease is most often seen in farmers (farmer's lung) or in immunocompromised patients (diabetes, alcoholics). Pathogens live in soil or plants and like a warm environment
