General information:
The total amount of zinc in the body is 2-3g. It is found in all organs of the human body, especially the liver, kidneys, B cells of the pancreas, prostate, hair, erythrocytes. The biological role of zinc is multifaceted: it is an intact composition of over 70 metallogenesis involved in major metabolic reactions; forms a complex with some hormones, e.g. insulin; is involved in the formation of collagen and has a bearing on wound healing. It is important for perception (taste and smell), it is important for growth and sexual maturation, for immune protection.
